Concepts from CAD

On this blog, I will be talking about how I've used concepts, that I learned in my CAD class, in my FYS class. Here's a presentation with an audio recording which explains it. The presentation will explain in depth of what concepts I've used and how or why I thought they were effective.

Here is the annotation of the debate.

I hope I helped in explaining how some of the concepts we learn in our CAD class are used in our other classes or even daily lives. I look forward to seeing any comments or feedback.

  1. One of the things I learned was over hearing Rimki to Chaitanya how to create a powerpoint presentation with audio. The use of audio in this presentation was helpful, as Rimki as we went through it explained to us what it all meant, as if we were just to read it we would not quite understand since we are not in her FYS class. She touches on how the concepts in CAD help us to have deeper understand for any concept we may encounter in other courses. She uses the concepts audience, purpose, and perspective when she was doing a debate against gmos.

  2. Staying calm and composed while delivering speech allows the spoken aspects and facts to be inundating the audience effectively. Placing the conversation on common grounds is very important especially at the conclusion part where it is a requisite to instill acknowledgment about the opposing fact. This makes it acceptable for the audience while acceding a fact that they do not agree upon.

  3. It was interesting that she annotated in her debate. I have not done that before. If I write a debate essay like her, it would be more convincing.
She was focusing the audience when she conveyed the purpose.
The way her audience could know what she is going to say. At beginning she applied to their value to make sure her audience listen her debate.
I would think about audience when I have chance to write out side of class CAD.

  4. You explained really well about the concepts that you used. And the PowerPoint slide with audio was really helpful. I like that way that you organized the debate. You started with the purposes and then followed by audiences, perspectives and common grounds. I can use yours as my model for other writing from other classes.

  5. It was nice that he brought up the rhetorical situation alive and used it as the main thing to communicate with the audience and having clear purpose made it easy for the audience to understand the situation. I will be using a clear purpose in my blog to make it easy for the readers.
